A housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, order, and overall upkeep of a private residence or commercial facility. They perform a variety of tasks to ensure the living or working environment is tidy, functional, and comfortable for occupants.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning and dusting all rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and kitchens
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors to maintain cleanliness
- Changing and laundering bed linens and towels
- Organizing and tidying up closets, drawers, and storage areas
- Washing dishes, loading and unloading dishwashers, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Taking out trash and recycling as needed
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and decorative items
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Taking care of laundry, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes
- Stocking supplies such as toiletries, paper goods, and cleaning products
- Assisting with grocery shopping and meal preparation if required
- Caring for indoor plants and ensuring they are watered and maintained
- Managing the inventory of household items and supplies
- Performing light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or replacing air filters
- Ensuring the safety and security of the premises by locking doors and setting alarms as needed
Requirements
Good command of English language
